How It All Stated
Our journey began with a love for bringing joy to others. Back in 2019, I started a small side hobby called Channy’s Face Painting. Seeing the smiles on children’s faces and the joy it brought their parents was an incredible feeling. While I had to pause during COVID, the idea of creating magical moments stayed with me.
Fast forward to 2023—I got engaged and had just six weeks to plan our wedding. It was a whirlwind, but I pulled it off! From building tables and chairs to sourcing décor, I realized how much I loved the process. That’s when it hit me... it was finally time to take the leap and turn my passion into a business.
Growing up in a Jehovah’s Witness household, celebrations weren’t a part of my life. As an adult, I’ve made up for lost time, pouring my heart into every event. Some might call my style a little “extra,” but I believe that’s what makes celebrations memorable.
Over the years, I’ve honed my skills as the President of my workplace’s Social Club, organizing everything from trivia minute-to-win-it nights to night golf for over 80 people. My colleagues often joked that I was in the wrong industry—and maybe they were right!
What Sets Us Apart
The name The Windy Tide reflects my home in Geraldton, a place known for its wild winds and beautiful seas. It’s a nod to the coastal life and the constant ebb and flow of tides—much like the cycles of life, that we celebrate through events.
It’s the passion I pour into every detail and the personal touch I bring to every celebration. From face painting to custom wooden creations, unique solar decorations, and candy carts, my goal is to offer something truly special that isn’t widely available in Geraldton. Seeing the joy on people’s faces when their vision comes to life is what drives me.
